This morning BJ and I took a ride on our twin v-twins around the big lake. I took us up 132 through Ashland then over Winona Rd. towards Meredith. That's where we had our big excitement when a black bear popped out of the woods near the railroad overpass. It ran along aside me which gave enough time to slow down before it ran across the road a couple of feet in front of me. Barbara squealed her rear a bit which encouraged the little bear to quicken its pace. At the stop sign there was a little tremble in my partners leg but we continued on. After the Weir's we headed down 11b where we had our second wildlife encounter as a deer and passed in front of us and closer its fawn. We stopped for coffee in Alton then continued up through Wolfeboro where we filled up the fuel tanks. Then on the way up to Moultonborough fourth wild encounter was another deer crossing directly in our path. Thankfully another rider going the other way had signaled us to slow down.
